Pulastya (contextually, the narrator listing sages; common Sṛṣṭikhaṇḍa frame dialogue is Pulastya → Bhīṣma)

Concept: The world is guided by ṛṣis—channels of revelation—whose presence legitimizes tradition (paramparā) and anchors dharma in living exemplars.

Application: Honor sources: learn practices (japa, vrata, pūjā) from reliable lineages; keep a personal ‘paramparā memory’ of teachers and texts.

Primary Rasa: vira

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Type: celestial_realm

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A grand conclave of primordial sages stands around a cosmic altar: Bhṛgu with a manuscript, Marīci haloed like a sunbeam, Aṅgiras with fire-lit austerity, and Pulastya speaking as if reciting the blueprint of creation. FAQs

The verse enumerates prominent ṛṣis associated with early creation accounts: Bhṛgu, Bhava, Marīci, Aṅgiras, Pulaha, and Kratu—figures often counted among Prajāpati-type progenitors in Purāṇic cosmology.

Such lists establish the genealogical and cosmological framework of creation narratives—identifying the primordial seers through whom beings, lineages, and teachings are said to proceed.

By foregrounding revered sages, the text underscores the authority of transmitted knowledge (śruti/smṛti-paramparā) and the ideal of disciplined, truth-oriented living associated with ṛṣihood.
