Concept: When the mind is purified and Hari is established within, one beholds pure, liberating knowledge (brahma-jñāna) that leads to the highest state.

Application: Practice daily purification (satya, śauca, sense-restraint) and remembrance (nāma-japa). Treat the heart as a shrine: invite Hari through consistent devotion and ethical living.

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Type: temple

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A meditator sits in stillness; within the translucent outline of their chest blooms a lotus-heart shrine where Hari appears as a small, radiant Vishnu, seated on a lotus with conch and discus. From Hari’s presence streams a clear beam of ‘śuddha-jñāna’ that dissolves darkness and opens into a vast, serene expanse labeled only by silence—‘tat padam’.","primary_figures":["Vishnu (Hari) as antaryāmin","a yogic devotee/meditator","optional: Lakshmi as subtle radiance"],"setting":"inner-heart lotus-temple visualized against a minimal, cosmic background","lighting_mood":"divine radiance","color_palette":["deep indigo","radiant gold","lotus pink","crystal white","emerald green"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: central seated Vishnu within a large lotus-heart motif, heavy gold leaf halo and embossed aureole; devotee in meditation below; rays of gold leaf ‘knowledge’ extending upward to a serene, empty-gold space symbolizing the supreme state; rich reds/greens, gem-like ornamentation, temple-arch framing.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: delicate meditator under a quiet night sky; a translucent heart-lotus reveals tiny Vishnu with soft glow; fine brushwork, cool blues and pinks, subtle gold, lyrical stillness and refined facial features.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold-outlined Vishnu inside a stylized lotus in the chest of a seated devotee; strong red/yellow/green pigments, large expressive eyes, ornamental borders, temple-wall symmetry emphasizing antaryāmin doctrine.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: large central lotus representing the heart; within it Vishnu icon; surrounding border of smaller lotuses and tulasi-like floral motifs (decorative, not textual claim); deep blue cloth ground with gold highlights, intricate floral creepers, peacocks at corners, devotional symmetry."}

FAQs

It describes inner purification culminating in the realization of pure knowledge (śuddhajñāna), with Hari established within; this realization is termed “Brahman” and leads to the supreme state (tatpadam).

It presents Hari as the indwelling presence in the purified inner being, and the resulting realization as “Brahman”—suggesting a harmony between devotion to Hari (Vaishnava theism) and the non-dual language of Brahman-realization.

The practical emphasis is on cultivating purity of mind and inner life; only a cleansed mind becomes a fit locus for the divine presence and for clear spiritual insight that leads to liberation.
