आनुष्टुभं सवैराजमुत्तरादसृजन्मुखात् । उच्चावचानि भूतानि गात्रेभ्यस्तस्य जज्ञिरे

ānuṣṭubhaṃ savairājamuttarādasṛjanmukhāt | uccāvacāni bhūtāni gātrebhyastasya jajñire

അവൻ തന്റെ ഉത്തരമുഖത്തിൽ നിന്ന് വൈരാജസഹിതമായ അനുഷ്ടുപ് ഛന്ദസ്സിനെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു; അവന്റെ അവയവങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് ഉയർന്നതും താഴ്ന്നതുമായ നാനാവിധ ജീവികൾ ജനിച്ചു.
