Concept: Auspicious sovereignty is inseparable from Śrī (Lakṣmī): devotion honors both the Lord (Murāri, Viśveśvara) and the fortune that accompanies dharma.

Application: Seek prosperity through alignment: cultivate cleanliness, generosity, and steady devotion; treat ‘good fortune’ as a sacred trust to be used for dharma and service.

FAQs

Both are invoked: Murāri/Viśveśvara refers to Viṣṇu, while Padmapriyā and Lakṣmī (named Rohiṇī) directly address Lakṣmī.

It functions as a stotra-like salutation, praising divine attributes and seeking auspiciousness (saubhāgya) and well-being (saukhya) through reverent remembrance.

Padmapriyā highlights Lakṣmī’s lotus association (purity, prosperity). “Rohiṇī-nāma” presents an epithet/alternate name within the text’s devotional register, identifying her as a bestower of prosperity and happiness.
