Application: Treat household duties as seva: fidelity, care for spouse/family, ethical livelihood, and disciplined senses; regularly ask ‘what sustains my dharma?’ and seek counsel/scriptural study to stabilize conduct.

FAQs

It points to upholding righteous household life—marital fidelity and responsible grihastha conduct—presented here as a meritorious practice that leads to honor in Viṣṇu’s realm.

Brahmā’s questions link ārogya (health), aiśvarya (prosperity), and mati (discernment) to dharma-sthiti (steadfastness in righteousness), implying that ethical order is the foundation for both material and spiritual welfare.

The ethical thrust is that disciplined, dharmic living—especially in the householder stage—supports stability of mind and life, and is treated as spiritually fruitful within a Vaiṣṇava framework.
