FAQs

It presents a cosmological view of divine providence: the Lord apportions suitable gifts to different classes of beings—sustenance to the foremost twice-born, pleasures to Vidyādharas, and desire-fulfillment to humans—showing an ordered distribution of experiences.

As part of the creation-oriented Sṛṣṭikhaṇḍa, it fits the idea of structuring the world: different beings are assigned characteristic endowments and modes of life as part of the created order.

It encourages recognizing that capacities and enjoyments vary by nature and role; rather than envy, one can cultivate gratitude and right use of what is granted, aligning personal aims with dharma.
