उपवासी भवेन्नित्यमशक्तौ नक्तमिष्यते । कुर्यादेवमिदं नारी रसकल्याणिनी व्रतं

അവൾ നിത്യവും ഉപവാസം പാലിക്കണം; കഴിയാത്തപക്ഷം നക്തഭോജനം—രാത്രിയിൽ മാത്രം ആഹാരം—അനുവദനീയമാണ്. ഇങ്ങനെ സ്ത്രീ ‘രസകല്യാണിനീ’ എന്ന വ്രതം അനുഷ്ഠിക്കണം.
