यो विद्याच्चतुरो वेदान्सांगोपनिषदो द्विजः । पुराणं च विजानाति यः स तस्माद्विचक्षणः

yo vidyāccaturo vedānsāṃgopaniṣado dvijaḥ | purāṇaṃ ca vijānāti yaḥ sa tasmādvicakṣaṇaḥ

അംഗങ്ങളോടും ഉപനിഷത്തുകളോടും കൂടിയ നാല് വേദങ്ങളും പഠിച്ച്, പുരാണവും മനസ്സിലാക്കിയ ദ്വിജൻ—അവനാണ് യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ വിവേകി (വിചക്ഷണൻ).
