te tuṣṭuvuḥ surāḥ sarve vāgbhirarthyābhirādṛtāḥ | tataḥ prasanno bhagavānkiṃkaromīti cābravīt

Bhagavān (the Blessed Lord)

Concept: Sincere, fitting praise offered with respect draws the Lord’s prasāda, and He responds as a benefactor ready to serve dharma.

Application: Begin requests (worldly or spiritual) with gratitude and truthful praise; cultivate humility before asking for help, and align petitions with dharma.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A celestial court where the devas stand in orderly rows, palms joined, offering ornate hymns. At the center, Bhagavān radiates calm majesty, his expression softening into a smile as he asks, ‘What shall I do for you?’ The air shimmers with mantra-letters like golden pollen drifting from a lotus.","primary_figures":["Bhagavān (Vishnu/Nārāyaṇa)","Indra","Devas (collective)"],"setting":"Celestial assembly hall with lotus pillars, garlanded arches, and a jeweled dais; subtle clouds and apsaras in the distance.","lighting_mood":"divine radiance","color_palette":["sapphire blue","lotus pink","gold leaf","pearl white","emerald green"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: Bhagavān seated on a jeweled throne with conch and discus, devas in symmetrical rows offering stuti with añjali-mudrā, heavy gold leaf halos, rich vermilion and emerald textiles, gem-studded ornaments, ornate arch with lotus motifs, crisp South Indian iconographic proportions.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: a refined celestial pavilion with delicate linework, Bhagavān serene and slightly smiling, devas with soft facial features and folded hands, pastel clouds and floral borders, lyrical spacing, cool blues and pinks with fine gold accents.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold black outlines, Bhagavān with large expressive eyes and elaborate crown, devas clustered in reverent posture, temple-like mural framing with vegetal scrolls, dominant reds/yellows/greens, flat yet majestic composition.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: Vishnu-centered court framed by lotus and vine borders, floating garlands and peacocks at the margins, deep indigo background with gold detailing, devas as patterned figures offering hymns, intricate floral filigree and symmetrical ornamentation."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"devotional","suggested_raga":"Yaman","pace":"moderate-narrative","voice_tone":"reverent-soft","sound_elements":["temple bells","soft conch shell","gentle drone (tanpura)","distant celestial chimes","silence between phrases"]}

FAQs

The gods offer reverent praise (stuti), and the pleased Lord responds by asking what he can do for them—an opening for granting a boon.

It highlights stuti—devotional praise offered with reverence and appropriate speech—as a means that leads to divine pleasure (prasāda) and a compassionate response.

It suggests that speech should be respectful, fitting, and sincere—right expression and reverence are portrayed as virtues that shape outcomes in sacred encounters.
