FAQs

The verse highlights śravaṇa—devotional listening—as “pāpanāśanam,” meaning it removes the sins of those who hear the sacred narration.

“Samāsena” indicates a summarized narration—Sūta will present the essential meaning in a concise form for the listeners’ benefit.

It teaches reverence for wise inquiry (“muniśreṣṭha”) and affirms that attentive listening to dharmic discourse is itself an auspicious, transformative act.
