Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Type: tirtha

FAQs

Viṣṇupādodaka means “the water that has washed Viṣṇu’s feet,” revered as supremely purifying and auspicious in Vaiṣṇava tradition.

It elevates viṣṇupādodaka as conferring “sarva-tīrtha-phala”—the combined merit of all pilgrimage sites—even when borne in as little as a single drop.

The verse underscores devotion and reverence for the Lord as a direct purifier, suggesting that sincere connection to Viṣṇu can equal or surpass external acts like extensive pilgrimage.
