शौनक उवाच । इदानीं श्रोतुमिच्छामि कथयस्व यथार्थतः । हरिस्वरूपिणा साक्षाद्वेदव्यासेन शासित

ശൗനകൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഇപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ കേൾക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു; യഥാർത്ഥമായി പറയുക. സാക്ഷാൽ ഹരിസ്വരൂപനായ വേദവ്യാസൻ ഉപദേശിച്ചതിനെ.
