It states that a seeker of liberation attains mokṣa, and that mantra-perfection (mantra-siddhi) certainly results—presented as the fruit of the narrated episode.
It functions as a closing line indicating that the narration of the Ocean-Churning episode has concluded and highlighting its spiritual benefit.
To approach sacred narration with sincere intent (especially liberation), since the text frames attentive hearing/receiving of such accounts as spiritually efficacious and supportive of disciplined practice (including mantra-sādhana).
