Narrator (contextual speaker not specified from single verse)

Concept: True spiritual authority is marked by inner yoga—steadiness, restraint, and luminous sattva—rather than external power.

Application: Cultivate a daily seated practice (āsana + breath + japa) with bodily steadiness (symbolized by the yoga-strap) to reduce distraction and increase devotion.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A great rishi sits immovable in a perfected yogāsana, bound gently by a yoga-strap, his body haloed with sunlike radiance that spills across the forest clearing. Dust motes glitter in the light; nearby, sacred kusa grass and a small fire altar suggest disciplined tapas, while the air feels hushed as if nature itself is listening.","primary_figures":["Vāmadeva (rishi)"],"setting":"Forest hermitage clearing with kusa grass seat, small yajña-kuṇḍa, rudrākṣa/tulasi garlands hanging from a branch, distant river shimmer implied but unnamed","lighting_mood":"divine radiance","color_palette":["saffron ochre","sun-gold","ash white","deep forest green","smoke gray"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: Vāmadeva seated in yogāsana on a raised kusa-mat pedestal, yoga-strap visible, blazing circular prabhāmaṇḍala rendered in thick gold leaf; rich vermilion and emerald background panels, ornate borders, stylized hermitage elements (yajña-kuṇḍa, kamandalu, palm-leaf manuscripts), gem-studded ornaments on the halo, traditional South Indian iconographic symmetry.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: a serene rishi with refined features sits cross-legged with a subtle yoga-strap, surrounded by delicate Himalayan-like foliage and a quiet stream; cool greens and soft ochres, fine linework on beard and cloth folds, lyrical atmosphere with birds paused mid-song, gentle sun-glow wash around the head.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold black outlines and flat natural pigments show the rishi in yogāsana with a pronounced golden aura, large expressive eyes, simplified hermitage props (kamandalu, agni-kuṇḍa), red-yellow-green palette dominance, temple-wall compositional balance and decorative floral borders.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: central meditating rishi under a stylized tree with lotus and vine borders; deep indigo ground with gold highlights, peacocks and small cows at the periphery as auspicious motifs, intricate floral filigree framing the sunlike halo, Nathdwara-inspired ornamentation adapted to a sage-centered scene."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"meditative","suggested_raga":"Yaman","pace":"slow-meditative","voice_tone":"serene","sound_elements":["silence","soft temple bells","distant birds","gentle wind through leaves"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: योगासनसमारूढः = योग + आसन + समारूढः. सूर्यसंनिभः = सूर्य + संनिभः. ‘महादीप्त्या परया’ इति तृतीया-करणे (by/with radiance).

FAQs

A yogapaṭṭa is a yoga-strap or band used to steady the body in seated meditation postures, symbolizing disciplined, sustained practice.

The sun-comparison conveys extraordinary spiritual radiance (tejas), suggesting inner power gained through yoga, restraint, and austerity.

The verse highlights steadiness and self-control: true spiritual luminosity is paired with disciplined posture and restraint, not mere outward display.
