तदिदं संसृतेः सारं गृहरूपं महेश्वरम् । सदनं शंकरेत्याख्यं नाशितं मन्मथेन वै

ഇത് സംസാരത്തിന്റെ സാരമായി, ഗൃഹരൂപത്തിൽ മഹേശ്വരൻ തന്നെയായിരുന്നു. ‘ശങ്കരന്റെ സദനം’ എന്നു പ്രസിദ്ധമായ ആ വാസസ്ഥലം മന്മഥൻ (കാമൻ) തീർച്ചയായും നശിപ്പിച്ചു.
