tasya dānasya bhāvena bhāvanāparibhāvitaḥ | tādṛkphalaṃ samaśnāti mānuṣo nātra saṃśayaḥ

Concept: The fruit of giving corresponds to the giver’s bhāva (inner intention); contemplation (bhāvanā) molds the result.

Application: Train the mind before and after charity: avoid resentment or pride; cultivate gratitude and dedication. Keep a brief mental mantra (e.g., ‘nārāyaṇāya’) while giving to stabilize bhāva.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A split-panel visual shows the same gift offered twice: on one side, the donor gives with pride and distraction; on the other, with calm devotion and focused contemplation. Above both panels, a subtle cosmic scale balances ‘bhāva’ as luminous threads that weave distinct fruits, illustrating that inner coloring determines outcome.","primary_figures":["donor (two mirrored depictions)","recipient","subtle personification of Bhāva (as light-thread motif)"],"setting":"Courtyard outside a small shrine; symbolic upper register with abstract karmic tapestry.","lighting_mood":"divine radiance","color_palette":["pearl white","indigo","soft gold","smoky gray","leaf green"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: diptych composition with gold-leaf borders, two donors offering identical gifts, one with proud posture and one with humble folded hands, Viṣṇu emblem above as witness, ornate arch and gem-like detailing, rich reds/greens with luminous gold accents.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: refined mirrored scenes in a palace-courtyard turned devotional space, delicate facial expressions showing pride vs serenity, subtle symbolic cloud-band above with luminous threads representing bhāva, cool palette with gentle highlights.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlines, two narrative registers, expressive eyes conveying inner attitude, stylized bhāva as flowing ribbon-like light, traditional pigment palette with strong reds/yellows/greens.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: ornamental border of lotuses and vines, central two-scene narrative, bhāva depicted as floral aura around the humble donor, deep blue ground with gold detailing, devotional symbolism over literal realism."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"meditative","suggested_raga":"Bhupali","pace":"slow-meditative","voice_tone":"serene","sound_elements":["silence","soft tanpura drone","distant temple bell"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: तादृक्फलं = तादृक् + फलम्; नात्र = न + अत्र.

FAQs

That the fruit of charity is shaped not only by the act itself but by the giver’s inner intention (bhāva) and sustained contemplation (bhāvanā).

It states that karmic results correspond to the mental and ethical quality behind an action; a gift infused with a certain intent yields a matching outcome.

To cultivate purity of motive while giving—since inner disposition is presented as decisive in determining the spiritual and moral “fruit” of the act.
