FAQs

Aṅga is a king in Purāṇic genealogy, and Vena is named here as his son, introduced in the context of royal conduct and dharma.

Śiṣṭācāra points to the refined, normative conduct upheld by the learned and righteous, while kṣattrācāra emphasizes the discipline and priorities of royal/kṣatriya life—governance, authority, and statecraft.

It frames kingship as requiring alignment with established righteous norms (śiṣṭācāra) while also acknowledging the distinct demands of kṣatriya duty—implying that power should remain guided by dharma.
