FAQs

'Viśālākṣi' is a vocative epithet meaning “large-eyed lady,” indicating the brāhmaṇa is speaking to a woman; the verse itself does not name her.

Indraloka refers to Indra’s celestial realm (svarga/heaven), a higher world associated with merit and divine enjoyments.

The line conveys rejection or withdrawal from a relationship of dependence or devotion—urging the woman to seek another refuge—followed by the speaker’s swift departure.
