पित्रा नाम प्रकर्तव्यमपत्यानां जगत्पते । नाम पापहरं प्रोक्तं तत्कुरुष्व कुशध्वज ॥ २ ॥

ഹേ ജഗത്പതേ! മക്കൾക്കു നാമകരണം പിതാവുതന്നെ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതാണ്. നാമം പാപഹരമെന്നു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ട്, ഹേ കുശധ്വജ, നീ അത് ചെയ്യുക.
