Narada (teaching the greatness of Ganga-tirthas within Uttara-Bhaga’s tirtha-mahatmya discourse)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It declares that any spot sanctified by the Gaṅgā’s presence becomes, by that fact alone, a complete spiritual venue—fit for tapas (austerity), japa (mantra practice), and huta/homa (fire-offerings), emphasizing the purifying and merit-bestowing power of the Gaṅgā as a tirtha.
By elevating a Gaṅgā-tirtha as the ideal setting for sustained japa and worshipful offerings, it supports bhakti through practice: remembrance of the divine via mantra, disciplined living (tapas), and devotional rites (homa) performed in a sanctified environment.
Ritual application is implied: choosing a proper huta-sthāna (site for offerings) and prioritizing japa and tapas at a tirtha. While not detailing a specific Vedanga, it aligns with Kalpa (ritual procedure) by stressing the sanctity of place for Vedic rites.
