mamāgre'vasthito viṣṇuḥ pṛṣṭhataścāpi keśavaḥ | goviṃdo dakṣiṇe pārśve vāme tu madhusūdanaḥ || 17 ||
Narada (as a protective remembrance/mantra-like recitation within the narrative)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It places the devotee within a protective, all-directional presence of Viṣṇu, expressing śaraṇāgati (taking refuge) through continuous remembrance of the Lord’s names.
Bhakti here is practiced as nāma-smaraṇa—invoking Viṣṇu through specific epithets and feeling His nearness in every direction, strengthening faith, fearlessness, and one-pointed devotion.
The verse uses precise directional placement (agre/pṛṣṭhataḥ/dakṣiṇe/vāme), reflecting ritual orientation common in kalpa-style practice—useful for protective recitations and disciplined daily worship.
