FAQs

It frames pilgrimage as an inner passage: being led “by the hand” into the wave suggests surrender and guidance through a liminal, purifying threshold, after which a revelatory sign (the tree) appears.

Bhakti here is implied through dependence on a guide and willingness to enter the ‘wave’ (a trial). The devotee advances not by control but by trust, leading to darśana (a meaningful sight) that confirms the path.

No specific Vedanga (Śikṣā, Vyākaraṇa, Jyotiṣa, etc.) is taught directly; the verse functions as narrative instruction typical of Tīrtha-Māhātmya passages rather than a technical ritual or grammatical teaching.
