Narrator (Purāṇic narration describing the action of Brahmā’s son)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It frames devotion as the proper approach to sacred narrative: praising and bowing to the Eternal Vāsudeva, who is acknowledged as the supreme giver of results, aligns the devotee with the source of all auspicious fruits.
Bhakti is shown through stuti (praise) and praṇāma (prostration). The verse emphasizes personal surrender to Jagannātha (Lord of all), treating the Lord as both the goal and the granter of all legitimate aims (kāma-phala).
No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught here; the practical takeaway is liturgical: begin recitation or tīrtha-related sections with stuti and praṇāma to Viṣṇu/Vāsudeva for auspiciousness and fruit-bearing completion.
