एवं ब्रुबाणां तनयां विधेस्तु रतिप्रियां चारुविशालनेत्राम् । व्रीडान्वितः पुत्रसमीपवर्ती प्रोवाच वाक्यं नृपतिः प्रियां ताम् ॥ ५७ ॥

evaṃ brubāṇāṃ tanayāṃ vidhestu ratipriyāṃ cāruviśālanetrām | vrīḍānvitaḥ putrasamīpavartī provāca vākyaṃ nṛpatiḥ priyāṃ tām || 57 ||

ഇങ്ങനെ സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന വിധി (ബ്രഹ്മാ)യുടെ പുത്രി, രതിക്ക് പ്രിയയായ, മനോഹരമായ വിശാലനേത്രയുള്ള അവളെ കണ്ടു; പുത്രന്റെ സമീപത്തു നിന്ന രാജാവ് ലജ്ജയോടെ അവളോടു പ്രിയവചനങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞു।
