FAQs

The verse links tattva (true understanding) with success in dharmic effort: right insight makes even difficult spiritual aims ‘crossable’ and turns action into meaningful, fruit-bearing karma.

While not naming bhakti directly, it sets the bhakti-friendly principle that sincere inner understanding (tattva) makes practice effective; Narada then promises to explain the requested meritorious teachings in detail—typically the kind that support devotion through sacred acts and holy narratives.

No specific Vedanga (like Vyakarana or Jyotisha) is taught in this verse; the practical takeaway is methodological—listen systematically ‘in detail’ (vistarāt) to dharmic instructions so that karma becomes aśūnya (not vain).
