iti śrībṛhannāradīyapurāṇe pūrvabhāge prathamapāde mārkaṇḍeyavarṇanaṃ nāma pañcamo'dhyāyaḥ || 5 ||

Translation

ഇങ്ങനെ ശ്രീബൃഹന്നാരദീയപുരാണത്തിന്റെ പൂർവ്വഭാഗത്തിലെ ആദ്യപാദത്തിൽ ‘മാർകണ്ഡേയവർണ്ണനം’ എന്ന അഞ്ചാം അധ്യായം സമാപ്തമായി ॥५॥
