Suta (narrating the Purana account)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It situates spiritual history within a cyclic cosmic order (manvantaras), emphasizing that even divine administrations (devas and Indras) change with time under dharma’s larger rhythm.
Indirectly, it frames gods and Indras as time-bound roles; bhakti in the Narada Purana is ultimately directed to the Supreme beyond changing cosmic offices, encouraging devotion that transcends cycles.
It reflects Purāṇic chronology used alongside Jyotiṣa-style time-reckoning (yugas/manvantaras) to contextualize ritual calendars and sacred history, though no specific ritual is prescribed in this verse.
