इत्युक्तो देवराजेन सुधर्मा प्रहसंस्तदा । प्रोवाच विनयाविष्टः पूर्ववृत्तं यथाविधि ॥ १६ ॥

ityukto devarājena sudharmā prahasaṃstadā | provāca vinayāviṣṭaḥ pūrvavṛttaṃ yathāvidhi || 16 ||

ദേവരാജൻ ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ സുദർമൻ അപ്പോൾ മന്ദഹാസത്തോടെ, വിനയത്തിൽ നിറഞ്ഞവനായി, മുൻവൃത്തം യഥാവിധി വിവരിച്ചു.
