Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 98

Bhakti-Śraddhā-Ācāra-Māhātmya and the Commencement of the Mārkaṇḍeya Narrative

mama janma kule yasya tatkulaṃ mokṣagāmi vai | mayi tuṣṭe muniśreṣṭa kimasādhyaṃ jagatraye || 98 ||

FAQs

The verse emphasizes Bhagavan’s anugraha (divine grace): when Vishnu is pleased, liberation and even extraordinary outcomes become assured, extending merit beyond the individual to one’s lineage.

It frames bhakti as a grace-centered path—pleasing Vishnu through sincere devotion leads to transformative results, implying that loving surrender can surpass ordinary limitations across the three worlds.

No specific Vedanga (like Vyakarana, Shiksha, or Jyotisha) is taught directly; the practical takeaway is the Purana’s bhakti-principle of phala (result): devotion and divine satisfaction are presented as the decisive means to attain moksha.
