कामतो गोवधे नैव शुद्धिर्द्दष्टा मनीषिभिः । पानशय्यासनाद्येषु पुष्पमूलफलेषु च ॥ ७८ ॥
kāmato govadhe naiva śuddhirddaṣṭā manīṣibhiḥ | pānaśayyāsanādyeṣu puṣpamūlaphaleṣu ca || 78 ||
ഇച്ഛാപൂർവം ഗോവധം ചെയ്താൽ മनीഷികൾ യാതൊരു ശുദ്ധിയും അംഗീകരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. അതുപോലെ പാനം, ശയ്യ, ആസനം മുതലായവയിലും, പുഷ്പം, മൂലം, ഫലം മുതലായവയിലും (അത്തരം മഹാപാപത്തിന്) ശുദ്ധിയില്ലെന്ന് പറയുന്നു॥७८॥
