Śrāddha-prayoga: Niyama, Brāhmaṇa-parīkṣā, Kutapa-kāla, Tithi-nyāya, and Vaiṣṇava-phala

सामान्यपितथोक्तानि वदेत्पुण्यप्रदां स्तथा । इतिहासपुराणानि धर्मशास्त्राणि चैव हि ॥ ६८ ॥

sāmānyapitathoktāni vadetpuṇyapradāṃ stathā | itihāsapurāṇāni dharmaśāstrāṇi caiva hi || 68 ||

പിതാക്കന്മാർ പ്രസ്താവിച്ച പൊതുവായ ഉപദേശങ്ങൾ—പുണ്യം നൽകുന്നവ—പറയണം; അതുപോലെ ഇതിഹാസങ്ങളും പുരാണങ്ങളും ധർമ്മശാസ്ത്രങ്ങളും കൂടി വ്യാഖ്യാനിക്കണം।
