हेम्ना वा रजतेनापि वृद्धिश्राद्धं प्रकल्पयेत् । अन्नेन कारयेद्यस्तु स चंडाल समो भवेत् ॥ ६ ॥
hemnā vā rajatenāpi vṛddhiśrāddhaṃ prakalpayet | annena kārayedyastu sa caṃḍāla samo bhavet || 6 ||
വൃദ്ധിശ്രാദ്ധം സ്വർണ്ണത്തിലോ വെള്ളിയിലോ ഒരുക്കണം; എന്നാൽ വെറും അന്നംകൊണ്ട് മാത്രം നടത്തിക്കുന്നവൻ ചാണ്ഡാലനോടു തുല്യനാകുന്നു।
