यज्ञं च तर्पणं चैव कुर्वंतं नाभिवादयेत् । कृतेऽभिवादने यस्तु न कुर्यात्प्रतिवादनम् ॥ ४३ ॥
yajñaṃ ca tarpaṇaṃ caiva kurvaṃtaṃ nābhivādayet | kṛte'bhivādane yastu na kuryātprativādanam || 43 ||
യജ്ഞമോ തർപ്പണമോ ചെയ്യുന്നവനെ അഭിവാദ്യം ചെയ്യരുത്. കൂടാതെ അഭിവാദ്യം ലഭിച്ചവൻ പ്രത്യഭിവാദ്യം ചെയ്യാതിരുന്നാൽ—അതും അനുചിതാചാരമാണ്॥৪৩॥
