Transliteration

garbhāṣṭame'ṣṭame vābde baṭukasyopanāyanam | āṣoḍaśābdaparyaṃtaṃ gauṇaṃ kālamuśaṃti ca || 11 ||

Translation

ബാലന്റെ ഉപനയനം ഗർഭഗണന പ്രകാരം എട്ടാം വർഷത്തിലോ, ജന്മഗണന പ്രകാരം എട്ടാം വർഷത്തിലോ വിധിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; കൂടാതെ പതിനാറാം വർഷം വരെ കാലം ഗൗണമായി (സ്വീകാര്യമായി) പറയുന്നു।
