Bhāgīratha’s Bringing of the Gaṅgā
भगीरथ उवाच । अनुग्राह्योस्मि यदि ते वरदानान्महेश्वर । तदा गङ्गां प्रयच्छास्मत्पितॄणां मुक्तिहेतवे ॥ १०४ ॥
bhagīratha uvāca | anugrāhyosmi yadi te varadānānmaheśvara | tadā gaṅgāṃ prayacchāsmatpitṝṇāṃ muktihetave || 104 ||
ഭഗീരഥൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ മഹേശ്വരാ! ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ അനുഗ്രഹത്തിനും വരദാനത്തിനും യോഗ്യനാണെങ്കിൽ, എന്റെ പിതൃന്മാരുടെ മോക്ഷഹേതുവായി ഗംഗയെ പ്രസാദിക്കണമേ (അവതരിപ്പിക്കണമേ)।
