Vāmana’s Advent, Aditi’s Hymn, Bali’s Gift, and the Mahatmya of Bhū-dāna
namaste bahuparupāyārupāya ca mahātmane | sarvaikaruparupāya nirguṇāya guṇātmane || 20 ||
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It reconciles the Supreme as both nirguṇa (beyond qualities and form) and saguna (manifest as all qualities and forms), guiding devotees to worship without limiting God to a single appearance.
Bhakti is validated in both modes: one may adore Vishnu in a chosen form (iṣṭa-devatā) while understanding that the same Lord also transcends all form—preventing sectarian limitation and deepening surrender.
No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught in this verse; the takeaway is doctrinal clarity used in stuti and mantra-prayoga—praising the Lord as both nirguṇa and sarva-rūpa supports correct devotional intent (bhāva) in worship.
