Suta (narrator) describing the scene within the Purana’s narration
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It highlights how the Divine (Viṣṇu as Vāmana) enters a properly established yajña-space, showing that sacred action (adhvara) becomes a meeting-ground where God approaches beings for dharma’s fulfillment.
By portraying Viṣṇu personally arriving in a humble form, the verse implies that sincere devotion expressed through dharmic worship and reverence invites the Lord’s presence, even when the devotee’s situation is complex (as in Bali’s case).
Ritual competence is implied: the concept of an “adhvara-sthāna” and the centrality of the consecrated fire (hutavahni) point to Śrauta/kalpa-based yajña procedure—maintaining a sanctified space and correctly tended ritual fire.
