कार्तिके शुक्लनवमी त्वादिः कृतयुगस्य च । त्रेतादिर्माधवे शुक्ले तृतीया पुण्यसंज्ञिता ॥ १४७ ॥

Transliteration

kārtike śuklanavamī tvādiḥ kṛtayugasya ca | tretādirmādhave śukle tṛtīyā puṇyasaṃjñitā || 147 ||

Translation

കാർത്തിക മാസത്തിലെ ശുക്ല നവമി കൃത (സത്യ) യുഗത്തിന്റെ ആരംഭമെന്നു പറയുന്നു. മാധവ (വൈശാഖ) മാസത്തിലെ ശുക്ല തൃതീയ ത്രേതാ യുഗത്തിന്റെ പുണ്യാരംഭമായി പ്രസിദ്ധം.
