रवचतुष्का समुद्राष्टकुर्पचरविमासकाः । षट्त्र्यग्निवेदग्निपंचशुभ्रांशुमासकाः ॥ ७२ ॥

Transliteration

ravacatuṣkā samudrāṣṭakurpacaravimāsakāḥ | ṣaṭtryagnivedagnipaṃcaśubhrāṃśumāsakāḥ || 72 ||

Translation

‘രവ-ചതുഷ്കാ’, ‘സമുദ്ര-അഷ്ട’, ‘കുർപ-ചര’, ‘രവി-മാസക’; അതുപോലെ ‘ഷട്-ത്ര്യഗ്നി’, ‘വേദ-അഗ്നി’, ‘പഞ്ച-ശുഭ്രാംശു-മാസക’— ഇവ മാസകങ്ങളുടെ (പ്രമാണ ഘടകങ്ങളുടെ) നാമഭേദങ്ങളാണ്; യജ്ഞ-ദാനാദി കണക്കുകളിൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.
