मिथोघ्नाति भजेत्स्वाक्षेशैर्द्रोणादिमितिर्भवेत् । विस्ताराद्यं गुलान्येवं मिथोघ्नान्यपसांभवेत् ॥ ५५ ॥
mithoghnāti bhajetsvākṣeśairdroṇādimitirbhavet | vistārādyaṃ gulānyevaṃ mithoghnānyapasāṃbhavet || 55 ||
‘മിഥോഘ്നാ’ എന്ന അളവിനെ സ്വന്തം അംഗുലി-പ്രമാണങ്ങളാൽ വിഭജിച്ചാൽ ദ്രോണമുതലായ മാനക അളവുകൾ ലഭിക്കും. അതുപോലെ വീതി മുതലായ രേഖാമാനങ്ങളിലും ഇത്തരത്തിലുള്ള അനുപാത വിഭജനത്തിലൂടെ ‘ഗുലാ’ മുതലായ ഉപഅളവുകൾ ജനിക്കുന്നു।
