तयोर्नाट्योहभिन्नैकदिक् शरः स्फुटतां व्रजेत् । ततश्छन्नस्थितिदले साध्ये स्थित्यर्द्धषट्त्रिभिः ॥ १६३ ॥

tayornāṭyohabhinnaikadik śaraḥ sphuṭatāṃ vrajet | tataśchannasthitidale sādhye sthityarddhaṣaṭtribhiḥ || 163 ||

അവ രണ്ടിനുമിടയിൽ ഒരുദിക്കിൽ നിശ്ചിതമായ ശരം (സൂചിക) വ്യക്തത പ്രാപിക്കട്ടെ. തുടർന്ന് മറഞ്ഞ ‘സ്ഥിതി-ദളം’ സ്ഥാപിക്കേണ്ടതായാൽ, സ്ഥിരതയുടെ ആറിന്റെ മൂന്നു-അര മടങ്ങ് (ഘടകങ്ങൾ) കൊണ്ട് അത് സിദ്ധിക്കുന്നു.
