भरद्वाज उवाच । अस्माल्लोकात्परो लोकः श्रूयते नोपलभ्यते । तमहं ज्ञातुमिच्छामि तद्भवान्वक्तुमर्हति ॥ १ ॥
bharadvāja uvāca | asmāllokātparo lokaḥ śrūyate nopalabhyate | tamahaṃ jñātumicchāmi tadbhavānvaktumarhati || 1 ||
ഭരദ്വാജൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഈ ലോകത്തിനപ്പുറം ഒരു പരലോകം ഉണ്ടെന്ന് കേൾക്കുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അത് നേരിട്ട് അനുഭവപ്പെടുന്നില്ല. അതിനെ ഞാൻ അറിയാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു; അതിനാൽ ഭവാൻ ദയവായി പറയേണ്ടതാണ്।
