The Exposition of the Table of Contents (Anukramaṇī) of the Agni Purāṇa

गंगादितीर्थमाहात्म्यं द्वीपवर्षानुवर्णनम् । ऊर्द्ध्वाधोलोकरचना ज्योतिश्चक्रनिरूपणम् ॥ ८ ॥

gaṃgāditīrthamāhātmyaṃ dvīpavarṣānuvarṇanam | ūrddhvādholokaracanā jyotiścakranirūpaṇam || 8 ||

ഇതിൽ ഗംഗാദി തീർത്ഥങ്ങളുടെ മഹാത്മ്യം, ദ്വീപ-വർഷങ്ങളുടെ വിവരണം, ഊർദ്ധ്വവും അധോലോകവും ഉള്ള ഘടന, കൂടാതെ ജ്യോതിശ്ചക്രത്തിന്റെ നിരൂപണവും പറയുന്നു.
