ഇവിടെ നാല് സംഹിതകളുണ്ട്—മാഹേശ്വരി, ഭാഗവതി, സൗരി, ഗാണേശ്വരി; ഓരോന്നും വേറെയായി സഹസ്രസംഖ്യ (ആയിരം) ഉള്ളവയാണ്।
