परिच्छिन्ने ऽप्यसंदिग्धे मनः परिभवाश्रयम् तृष्णा मुष्णाति निष्णाता फललोभाश्रयाशुभा //

Transliteration

paricchinne 'pyasaṃdigdhe manaḥ paribhavāśrayam tṛṣṇā muṣṇāti niṣṇātā phalalobhāśrayāśubhā //

Translation

മനം പരിച്ഛിന്നവും സംശയരഹിതവും ആയാലും, വഞ്ചനയിൽ നിപുണമായ തൃഷ്ണ അത് കവർന്നു കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നു; ഫലലാഭത്തിന്റെ അശുഭ ലോഭത്തെ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ അത് അപമാനത്തിന്റെ ആസനമാകുന്നു।
