हस्ती पदातिसंयुक्तो रथिना च क्वचिद्रथी मातंगेनापरो हस्ती तुरंगैर्बहुभिर्गजः //

hastī padātisaṃyukto rathinā ca kvacidrathī mātaṃgenāparo hastī turaṃgairbahubhirgajaḥ //

Translation

ആനയോടൊപ്പം പദാതികൾ ചേർന്നിരിക്കും; ചിലിടങ്ങളിൽ രഥിയോടൊപ്പം രഥദളവും കൂട്ടിച്ചേർക്കപ്പെടും. മറ്റിടത്ത് ഒരു ആനയെ മറ്റൊരു മഹാഗജം (മാതംഗ) പിന്തുണയ്ക്കും; ഗജസേനയെ അനേകം കുതിരകൾ കൂടി ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തും।
