मेरुपर्वतसंकाशं मयस्यापि पुरं महत् पुष्यसंयोगमात्रेण कालेन स मयः पुरा //

Transliteration

meruparvatasaṃkāśaṃ mayasyāpi puraṃ mahat puṣyasaṃyogamātreṇa kālena sa mayaḥ purā //

Translation

മയന്റെ മഹാനഗരവും മേരുപർവ്വതത്തെപ്പോലെ വൈഭവത്തോടെ ദീപ്തമായിരുന്നു; പുരാതനകാലത്ത് ആ മയൻ പുഷ്യനക്ഷത്രസംയോഗമെന്ന അനുയോജ്യകാലം മാത്രം തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത് (അത്) സാധിച്ചു.
