FAQs

This verse does not describe pralaya; it focuses on a precise Vaiṣṇava homa step—offering milk-mixed caru and then pouring a measured stream of ghee.

It presents a rule-based ritual act (homa) suitable for disciplined religious life; kings and householders are expected to uphold dharma through correct sacrificial procedure and measured offerings.

The significance is ritual-technical: it specifies the offering substance (caru with cow’s milk) and the exact quantity/form of ghee offering (a continuous dhārā, measured as half a niṣpāva), reflecting the Matsya Purana’s prayoga-style precision.
