Adhyaya 90The Slaying of Shumbha and the Reabsorption of the Goddesses into Ambika

उत्पत्य च प्रगृह्योच्चैर्देवीं गगनमास्थितः ।

तत्रापि सा निराधारा युयुधे तेन चण्डिका ॥

utpatya ca pragṛhyoccair devīṃ gaganam āsthitaḥ / tatrāpi sā nirādhārā yuyudhe tena caṇḍikā

ചാടി ഉയർന്ന് ദേവിയെ പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് അവൻ ആകാശത്തിൽ വളരെ ഉയരത്തിലേക്ക് കുതിച്ചു. അവിടെയും ആശ്രയമില്ലാതെ ചണ്ഡിക അവനോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തു।
