yato niyukto dautyena tayā devyā śivaḥ svayam /
śivadūtīti loke 'smiṃmastataḥ sā khyātimāgatā

Names encode theology: Śiva’s role as messenger signals Śakti’s commanding agency in the narrative. The ethical note is humility—supreme beings may assume subordinate roles for dharma’s work.
Carita: explanatory aside within a heroic narrative, typical of Purāṇas linking events to sacred names and later devotional usage.
Śivadūtī signifies that pure consciousness (Śiva) becomes the carrier of the Divine Will (Śakti). In inner terms, awareness serves as the messenger transmitting higher intention into action.
